New Holland has launched a new course to train technicians for agricultural equipment and engines in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The course is part of the TechPro2 vocational programme launched by CNH Industrial with the aim to involve local communities in advanced training specifically tailored for young people and provide them with the skills and tools they need to build a successful future in the field of mechanics.

The course will be held at the Don Bosco Technical Center, where a workshop built with New Holland’s assistance will be used for both theoretical study and practical training dedicated to the farming sector.

As part of this project, MOENCO and New Holland jointly donates one New Holland tractor model TT75 4WD tractor to Don Bosco Technical Center for teaching purposes. The students enrolled in the new course will have an internship opportunity at MOENCO, the exclusive dealer of New Holland agricultural products in Ethiopia, once they have completed the one-year course.

The official inauguration of the new workshop and donation of the tractor took place on November 28, 2018, and was attended by Yasin Seker, Business Manager for New Holland Agriculture EMEA, Daniela Ropolo, EMEA Sustainability Development Initiatives Manager for CNH Industrial, Basaznew Legese, Senior Manager of MOENCO Kaliti Machinery Branch and Alehegn Gebru, Sales Manager of Agricultural and Industrial Equipment.
